I am a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer which translates to "big geek." The majority of my work experience is in providing technical assistance to computer system users, answering questions and resolving computer problems for clients in person, via telephone and remotely, providing assistance in the use of hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, e-mail, operating systems, and networking.

My primary computer is an Apple iBook that I take everywhere with me:

Current specs for my home built PC:
I was a Mac man before I got into PCs. I like to get my hands on as many different operating systems as I can to learn and experiment with them.

I try to understand the people who only want to use one platform:
"Macs are so much better...", "PCs are real computers...", "Macs are only good for graphic design and schools..."

I'll take any and all. PCs/Wintel computers have their place and specific tasks and Macs have theirs. I've even tried installing Linux on a home built PC I had. I didn't know enough about Linux to do anything with it but I started to learn a little. The current Mac OS is Unix based and I learned a little HP-UX (Hewlett Packard Unix) at a previous job.
