I bought an Xbox on a whim while at Target one day and I'm very glad I did. I have to say that it is one helluva machine. The graphics and sound are amazing. I am very much addicted to playing games online via Xbox Live! or with XBConnect or if you have a Mac you can use Aquaduct. All you need is an Xbox and a high-speed internet connection (DSL, Cable, T1, T3, etc.) because dial-up (56k modem) just won't cut it.

Games I have so far:

Halo
Ghost Recon: Island Thunder
Project Gotham Racing 2
Rainbow Six 3
Cel Damage
Mad Dash Racing
True Crime: Streets of LA
Simpsons Hit & Run
The Sims
MotoGP 2
Simpsons Road Rage
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

Halo 2 has been announced
Halo: Truth & Reconciliation
Ghost Recon

I've been a video game player since I was very young. I think the first console I remember having was the Atari 2600 and even before the Atari I used to play games on a Timex Sinclair that used tapes to load programs. Things have come a long way. I now have an Xbox, a Nintendo GameCube, a Playstation 1, a Nintendo 64, an 8-bit Nintendo and of course my computer(s) to play games on. I think I'll be playing games as long as my fingers are functional and I might not even need my hands to play someday. You never know.

I highly recommend the Xbox if you are into gaming. And if you have friends with Xboxes you can do the internet play or you can bring your Xbox to your friend's house and connect them directly. You'll need another TV to do that but doing it that way you can have up to sixteen players on four Xboxes with four TVs. Now that's some serious gaming.
